MAURICE I. MIDDLEBERG is an experienced leader in the anti-human trafficking movement. He is the former Executive Director of Free The Slaves,  a global leader in the fight against modern day slavery and human trafficking.

Prior to that he held several positions focusing on global health – as the former Vice President for Global Policy at IntraHealth International, Vice President for Public Policy, Global Health Council, and Executive Vice President, EngenderHealth, among many other positions.

Maurice has taught at  the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, and he has written extensively on issues related to human rights and public health in books, articles and opinion pieces appearing on CNN.com, the Huffington Post, Philadelphia Inquirer, Atlanta Journal Constitution, among others.
