Description

Most people in the United States would be surprised to learn they have probably walked past a victim of human trafficking at some point in their lives. Trafficked persons have become invisible in plain sight. Many people are overwhelmed when they learn about human trafficking and the impact it has on our communities. They want to get involved but don’t know where to start.

The Little Book of Big Heroes is about 10 individuals from different backgrounds who are united by a common thread: taking action to confront human trafficking right where they are using their own unique skills, talents, and abilities. Full of examples of creative ways to combat trafficking paired with beautiful anti-trafficking art by both survivors and advocates, you can’t help but feel inspired by the stories outlined.

This book is a great introduction to the world of anti-trafficking and would make a great gift for anyone looking to be inspired. All of the proceeds from the sales of this book go back to ArtWorks for Freedom and allows us to continue to bring awareness and fight human trafficking with the transformative power of the arts.
