In Fall 2017, ArtWorks for Freedom brought together artists, arts organizations, service providers, universities, the diplomatic community, local government and advocacy organizations to amplify collective voices against human trafficking during: “ArtWorks for Freedom | Action DC!”

Over the course of six weeks between October 5 – November 10, ArtWorks hosted over 30 art events with 44 community partners throughout Washington, D.C., and surrounding suburbs to raise awareness of human trafficking.

From art exhibits, to film screenings, to participatory art – ACTION DC! exposed the reality of human trafficking to thousands of people throughout the region and created a foundation of collaboration between artists, activists, college and university students, NGO professionals and concerned citizens to continue confronting human trafficking.
