This summer, we were deeply saddened by the passing of our former board member Claire Frankel in August, 2019.Claire was a writer, playwright and sculptor who, during her career as a freelance journalist and travel writer, had bylines in the International Herald Tribune, New York Times, Washington Post, The Economist, Financial Times, Art & Auction, Art & Antiques and other publications. A resident of London for many years, Ms. Frankel worked on several documentaries for the BBC.With her lifetime love of the arts, Claire brought her enthusiasm and passion to support ArtWorks for Freedom’s development. Her generosity over many years enabled us to bring our exhibits and arts events to an ever-growing audience and to work with trafficking survivors in the creation and production of new art. Our deepest thoughts and condolences are with her family and loved ones.
