ZEYBA RAHMAN joined the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art in 2013 as senior program officer and manager of national grant making to support projects that educate the public about current-day Muslim cultures and societies through the arts. Before joining the foundation, Ms. Rahman led international and national projects to promote understanding between diverse communities. These included the Fes Festival of World Sacred Music in Morocco, the Arts Midwest’s Caravanserai, and BAM’s Mic Check Hip Hop. She served as creative consultant to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and project director of the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation/National Endowment for the Arts’ Global Cultural Connections. Ms. Rahman is on the nominating committee of the Civitella Foundation in Italy and an advisor to the PBS documentary series “Sacred.” She is the subject of two television profiles as a global arts leader.
