What You See is Not Who I am
This striking mural was created in partnership with Groundswell, through its Teen Empowerment Mural Apprentice program. Under the guidance of Lead Artist Nicole Schulman and Assistant Artist Edwin Vazquez, 20 young people worked together to research, design and create a 12-panel portable installation. They learned during the process about the global epidemic of human trafficking and that their own city of New York is not immune. The teen artists hope the mural series will spark new awareness of human trafficking and inspire others to get involved in helping the many invisible people in modern day bondage. Made possible with support from the Embrey Family Foundation. For outdoor or indoor installation.
